Shelve what you are assigned to shelve. If you finish your assignment, then shelve anything that needs to be shelved.

When you are scheduled to shelve, go in the back, get an empty truck and load it up from the To Be Shelved area in the workroom. Don't overload the truck to the point that you won't be able to finish it in an hour or so. Do not clutter up the back with trucks "ready to be shelved." Do not park trucks in the "waiting to shelve/sorting aisle."

As you shelve, be sure to weed duplicate books and any that are in bad condition. Be sure to separate the Duplicates to Float from the Discards that are in bad condition.
